corn crop

This was quite a year. Like we had one of the worst corn crops ever. Drought is our reason. It was a very dry and warm summer. Skeptics say that everything is fine and we are crazy. REALLY say me. Well, take a look at grocery prices. Yeah, those are going up. Farmer had to import a lot of corn. Most of that was to feed cattle, but some was for other uses. Economists do not realize the damage that was done to us.

corn price rises

What is the result of corn price rises. Hey, milk and eggs cost more. Take a trip to your grocery. Like what do you see. It is a lot of pain. People still need to buy food, but they are getting less now. Hard to afford items that are expensive. For example, we see people getting less milk and eggs. These are both great protein sources. Instead people are buying rice. That has very little protein, but it is not expensive.

king corn

Politicians do not realize how much we depend on golden grain. I know it sounds corny - pun. However, we do depend on king corn. 10% of our fuel is ethanol derive from corn. Most of our sweeteners are corn syrup. Milk and eggs are produced by a diet that is mostly grains. The list goes on and on. Cornball humor is scarce now. Drought means there is very little. Yeah, that means figuratively or the literal yellow kind as we say.
