Flooding the Earth's vast deserts may stop catastrophic global warming.  Sadly, that is the latest climate idea in science. Basically, we should rather plant huge forests in many areas. Those trees would use up a lot of carbon dioxide, as well as add a lot of fresh new oxygen. Also, it would improve our air.
